Resists Pet Stains
STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet has built-in stain resistance that won’t wash off. It is made from SuperiaSD™ fiber, a solution dyed nylon 6,6 polymer engineered with inherent stain resistance and built-in color that resists fading. So when accidents happen, you can use hydrogen peroxide-based cleaners without fear.
Reduce Pet Odors
Sometimes accidents happen, and time may pass before they’re discovered. But when you purchase the STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet & cushion system, you’re armed with a breathable moisture barrier on the STAINMASTER® carpet cushion that helps prevent spills from penetrating the padding and subfloor, allowing for more thorough cleaning which reduces lingering odors. To realize this benefit, you must purchase STAINMASTER® carpet cushion.
Releases Pet Hair
STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet uses proprietary technologies and chemistries applied to the carpet that reduce the force of attraction between pet hair and the carpet, allowing the hair to be more easily removed with normal vacuuming. And anyone with a German shepherd can tell you that’s a breakthrough.

Commonly asked pet questions
Q: I have a large dog, can I have wood flooring?
Wood is beautiful but is susceptible to scratching and grooves from dog claws over time. I recommend laminate or another durable surface like tile which can give the look of wood and perform better over time.
Q: I have a cat, what’s the best carpet choice for me?
Whatever you do, don’t choose loop! Our little claws get caught in the loops and will pull the tufts and you’ll require a good pair of scissors! Plush styles and low profile, high/low patterned carpet with little, tight loops are best. I might still claw the carpet for fun, but it won’t cause damage!
Q: My dog won’t go up our wood stairs? What can I do?
Sometimes, animals have trouble with the new floors. They make unfamiliar sounds under our paws, feel differently, and we may have trouble getting traction. The whole thing can be foreign to us! You can always opt for a carpet runner and now there are pet friendly carpet stair pads available in many styles and colors that easily attach to your stairs without damaging them and are washable. Call my mom for more information!
Q: What kind of Area Rugs are best for animals?
Avoid any loop carpet or rugs made from sisal or jute. Your cat will think it’s a large, flat cat scratcher! Wool will be tough to clean and can be expensive, so I recommend choosing an easy care fiber such as polyester or something similar that cleans up easy from accidents. There are many styles and colors to choose from and my mom can make custom sizes from any carpet.
